What must be present in your life for you to be your best?

What must be present for you to be your best? What are you doing to obtain that? These are great questions to ask when you find yourself going into entitlement mentality. The next time you find yourself saying – ‘if only I could….’ is that what is necessary for you to be at your best? Then ask the all important follow up question – What are you doing to obtain what is needed? What must your attitude be in order for you to achieve your best? What beliefs do you have that hold you back?

Perspective to Ponder:

What of my own habits do I want to change?

I love this question, which is a version of "How can I be my best self?" It's a question that invites other questions, such as:

"What does being at my best consist of, and in what context?" For example, being at my best with a business coaching client, may require being informed, prepared, focused, creative, energized, rested, sharp and upbeat. On the other hand, being at my best as a writer, might require practice, study, or a deadline.

Another sometimes helpful question is, "When is being at my best (i.e., peak performance)irrelevant, or just an energy waster?

In every case, I think self-knowledge, confidence and having an inspired vision is a great formula for achieving ones' personal best.

Coaching is certainly one of the best inventions designed to totally support this aspiration.
